Bird Rock Tail features scenic and peaceful wetlands and coasts. The landscape is a mix of low limestone bluffs, mangrove waterways, and tidal marine marshes. It’s a fascinating ecosystem, and it’s a great place to see many of the country’s unique saline-resistant plants.

2 months agoA fantastic hike that rewards you with amazing views! This hike is a nice change of pace from going to the beach every day. It is a well maintained out-and-back trail that finishes at the top of the island. It took us about 15 minutes to complete one direction at a rambling pace while taking in the scenery. Small kids (

2 months agoThis is a super nice hike, but please prepare yourself for the heat. Bring water and adequate hiking shoes. My wife and I did it in flipflops but I would not recommend it. When you get to the end of the trail at the eastern most tip of the island stunning views await for the photographic type.

4 months agoIt is definitely HOT away from the shore, so bring water. Also shoes with good soles (do NOT recommend flip flops) - there are lots of loose rocks on the trail. Having said that, it was good to see some natural parts of the island away from all the people and glitz of Grace Bay. There is a conch graveyard at the end of the trail, along the rocky coast. Some great bird & butterfly sightings and interesting cactus. Definitely use the GPS location coordinates listed below, then take a right turn and the trail starts next the I love TCI sign.

3 months agoNice trail, well marked (except the TH doesn’t explicitly say Bird Rock Trail). Posts up along the trail that look like they will soon hold signs describing flora and fauna. Recommend early in the day before the sun is directly overhead.

5 months agoGreat hike, short enough so that anyone (almost) can do it. Nice cactus and a small marsh on the way, and great views in the end. You get both a healthy walk and stunning views.
