a week agoWe really had a great time and enjoyed the food and the beautiful view. The hotel staff were very friendly and professional. We can tell the difference between the service we got here and the service we got in other beach locations. I give this place an outstanding rewards for excellent hospitality. Remember when you book at this hotel, book it directly with the hotel for a better nightly rate and upgrade to their lounge on the 9th floor.

2 weeks agoThere were mixed reviews on this place but I booked anyway because I've never had a bad Ritz experience...till now. The whole place just screams mediocrity, and not luxury. It screams Marriott. Not Ritz. Most staff seemed indifferent, though some were friendly and warm. You can read this whole review if you want, but suffice it to see this is a well below average RITZ. I wouldn't stay here again. You should pick another place with better reviews on TA. Don't say I didn't warn you. Parking: I rented a car to explore the island and the parking lot as someone mentioned seems like it could be a hospital lot. No guard no gate, nothing that says "you've arrived" Reception: Friendly and efficient, but really warm. Room: Beachfront. Not small but definitely not large. Finishes say "w hotel" level, not Ritz. It just doesn't feel like a high end resort hotel room. I had an issue with my AC that took three visits to get addressed, and every time, they told me to keep the patio door closed. Really???Does it say idiot on my forehead???? Pools: There is an adult lap pool that is certainly not large enough for the hotel. The family pool has a beach entry so it's really shallow and most isn't usable. Beach: lots of chairs though again...not a luxe type lounger. The cotton throws over the chairs are thin..when you could find someone to do it for you. Many times, I saw people struggling to open the umbrellas with no help coming to them. No free water brought over, like at 4 seasons properties. Breakfast: Corelli's restaurant. It was fine. Nothing amazing. 1 guy doing dual duty of omelets and waffles so it got backed up. The buffet was Service was average. Expect to pay $100 plus for two. When you stay at a Ritz Carlton, you have certain expectations. They weren't met. Not even close.

2 weeks agoThe first pic is of the shower in the bathroom. You can see in the far right corner of the shower stall that the tiles are actually white. The dark coloring was mold and dirt, all over the tiles. It's obvious to see that showers are Never cleaned. You would think that the Ritz management would do regular inspections of their house cleaning staffs overall work. Bare minimum, spray some clorox on the tiles. This has been a consistent problem at our stays at the Ritz. Needless to say, I wore shower shoes the entire time. The views are beautiful from the balconies, the patio cushions are stained, and the overall cleanliness of the hotel was mediocre. We had excellent service from John B Desir, but the rest of the staff was overall mediocre. The housekeeper was rude to me because I had not left my room at 8:25 a.m., and was perturbed that I told her she could come back later. We will not stay their again.

2 months agoI really wanted to NOT like it. You guys know I review Marriott with great details. Service on the beach was great. Service when the power went out...not so much. Rooms are spacious and modern. Great views of Grace Bay. All in all I give it a 9 out of 10. So it's a stay if you can afford it. 🤔

2 months agoWe didn't stay here, but visited for a drink, lunch and a look around. Service at the beach/pool bar was outstanding unlike the lobby bar (poor service and attentiveness). The place looked amazing and everyone spoke to how much they enjoyed it. I looked up the pricing and I would give caution if you are planning an extended stay, but hey, you only live once!
